Hanky Panky Video Remix, in All Its Cringe-Worthy Glory
One of the ties that binds The Grommet team is making fun of me and Joanne in our early videos. Their universal favorite is the launch we did for Hanky Panky. Yes, THAT Hanky Panky–thong underwear. When I can peel my fingers off my eyes to watch it, I credit this effort in kicking off our fearlessness in addressing any topic. But still…..I wouldn’t have minded if the actual video slipped into oblivion.
Fast forward to yesterday. For our Halloween party two young men in the company, Mike Lovett and Ryan DeChance were covertly aided by video producer Dan Callahan to remix the original. You probably have to watch the first one to appreciate the second. With equal parts cringing and busting a gut, here they both are:

Getting excited for the Women in Retail Leadership Summit!
Two things:
1) Candice said you wanted some info. on who has registered for the event so far. We can’t give our names but I have attached a list of companies and titles. Please let me know if you have any questions!
2) Also, I understand that you are interested in contributing to the event this year. Well, we have something for you: Would you be interested in being a moderator in one of our Success Circle breakout rooms? Last year we called them “Professional Development Breakout Rooms”… not sure if you remember them. Anyway, there are two of these sessions taking place at the Summit at the following times:
April 27: 2:00 pm – 2:45 pm Success Circle April 28: 11:45 am – 12:30 pm Success Circle
Here is how the sessions work: Attendees will be broken up into five rooms, each focusing on one of the following five themes: Hiring Smart, Moving Up the Corporate Ladder, Getting on a Board, Negotiation Skills, Networking.
We’d love for you to be the moderator in the “Negotiation Skills” Success Circle!
Each room will be set in a circle and three moderators will sit on stools located next to each other in the circle. The moderators will each speak for about five minutes about their feelings on or experiences around the topic (15 minutes) and then the rest of the time (30 minutes) will be for Q and A with the group. It really is a way for attendees to get know each other and discuss topics and the moderators are there to guide them through.
Please let me know your thoughts! We’d love for you to be involved again!
If you are interested, we’ll need your head shot and bio (or we can pick it up from last year).
Thanks!
Melissa
