Is it just me, or has the new BusinessWeek design suddenly made the publication look like it is nothing but advertorials? (New cover is on the left.) All the white space and lightweight articles (even lighter than before) read like a chamber of commerce publication. I can’t find the regular columnists because they have new tiny photos. I suspended judgement for a few weeks, on the theory that it is always disconcerting when a regular read changes its design. But this one isn’t passing the test of time.
Such a contrast to this week’s Fortune overhaul. It hits all the right notes…bridges the familiar with the fresh.
