A guy who takes grommet worship to a new height

I’m always asked what inspired the name of our company. There are some strong branding reasons but the first catalyst was my extreme love of grommets. I love them as functional pieces of hardware.  I love them in unexpected places like stationery. I love them on clothes, including this skirt I bought back in 2005 in Paris.

But thanks to Rob Walker, I now found my Grommet soulmate. Check out this art project by the journalist/artist Paul Lukas. He uses grommets in crazy ways, largely on food.  I really gotta meet this guy.
